Lagan Press 69 pp £9.99 pb 21 cm +1-904652-89-2
Jeffcutt grew up in a hamlet on the English-Welsh border and as an adult travelled the globe before deciding to settle in county Down near the Mourne mountains in the so-called Bronte country.
His first poem was published in 2003 and in 2006 Poetry Ireland awarded him the accolade of 'emerging writer of real talent'. Since then he has continued to emerge throughout the English-speaking world and in 2008 gave up his employment to become a writer full-time.
He has won a number of awards and bursaries for his work as a poet. The poems in this collection reflect his own life experience and his time in three continents. The subject matter ranges over topics as diverse as working, family life, prison camps and sex tourism.
